About Myself

I began my career in the area of behavioral health almost 15 years ago. I have worked with different known agencies throughout California and well recognized private practices. Through this work and time spent working with different organizations, programs, and people I began to recognize the need for reliable counseling.

My experience includes working with various age groups with multiple challenges.  I have worked in school settings with students and families who have struggled with anxiety, depression, cutting, suicidal ideation, trauma, eating disorders, abuse, defiance, and aggression.  I also have worked extensively with adults, couples, families, and the elderly who have experienced depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, chronic pain, low self-esteem, domestic violence and other life stressors.

My philosophy about therapy is that I value and honor the diversity of my patients by being attentive and non-judgmental in a safe environment by being physically present to focus on their needs.  Over the years my patients have often commented that they appreciate my calming approach toward their issues.  Whether my patients are children, adolescents, or adults I help them achieve the goals that are most important to them and help them resolve the issues that brought them to therapy in the first place.  I bring a varied theoretical approach, centered on forms of therapy including psychodynamic,  cognitive behavioral, brief/solution focused, prolonged exposure therapy and ensuring sensitivity to cultural diversity.

Currently my private practice is in Camarillo, CA, where I work with individuals, couples, and families of different age groups (children, adolescent, and adults).
